[[Year::1984| ]]What we call [[Entity::High School]] (lacking a new term) is a jigsaw puzzle of educational activities for kids aged 12-14 and up... we are just on the point of fitting together.

The people in this age group have lived the most school-free lives imaginable, and their desire now for a solid education is intense.  Presently, their needs are being addressed through classes at [[Fertile School|Fertile]] and Sanskrit School (this building, no longer used as a guest house – 'Swagatam' – is now being maintained by two young Tamil Aurovilians and houses a library and classroom space).  Quite a number of adult Aurovilians are tutoring individual students.

We are now ready to organize a more structured and regular high-school environment: a real school!
