Kingdom
The stories in this collection are those of animals who, with the exception of the street dog, have all lived in a house by the seaside in Pondicherry. They allowed us to participate in their knowledge, their equanimity, their inner greatness – in what, for the mind of man, is a secret and a paradox, but for them is an inalienable possession.
Each one left his body in a unique and individual manner, and waited serenely until I was near to do so. Each one went without hesitation towards the encounter with his eternal mother, his beatific origin, which is the quintessence of all that has lived and will live.
