Pour Tous Distribution Center (PTDC)
The Pour Tous Distribution Center (PTDC) is Auroville's food and basic needs co-op. Members are Aurovilians, Newcomers and some long-term guests who have set up specific PTDC accounts; PTDC is not open to the public. Products available are selected based on criteria such as demand, quality, costs and environmental impact, with a special focus on Auroville produce and Auroville-made products.
PTDC opened in March 2006 as a step towards realizing the economy Mother wished for Auroville, namely that the material needs of all would be provided and that the circulation of money would not be necessary.
