Annadana Soil and Seed Savers

Annadana, in partnership with NGOs, government agencies and international institutions, promotes the conservation, multiplication, dissemination and exchange of seeds of traditional varieties of vegetables and minor cereals from its base in Auroville’s Botanical Garden. Annadana is actively involved in a number of projects elsewhere in India, and is often consulted under the aegis of the Ministry of Agriculture’s National Horticulture Mission concerning technical inputs on the issue of organic planting material production.
