AVI / AUM
By all accounts the recently held joint AVI/AUM meeting in Woodstock this last August has been a success and undoubtedly a detailed report will follow. Julian & Wendy Lines and their small team were warmly thanked for the excellent preparation of an outstanding meeting. Friederike, AVI’s current Chairperson writes: “I am sure that every participant will get home with a bag full of new information and a heart full of joy in the light of the experience of love, friendship and being together among the Auroville/Integral Yoga family. Everybody has contributed to make it a marvelous experience!” (See the ‘Notes’ section of this issue for Friederike’s personal impressions on her visit to USA).
A meeting report is being worked out, containing the various programmes & presentations as well as policies & resolutions drafted by members of the AVI Board during their board meeting on site. It will be posted soon.

On Saturday 19 September, once more a ‘Café Auroville’ will take place in Paris. This time the usually well attended gathering focuses on Matrimandir: Dominique Darr will present her recently published ‘Matrimandir: Hymn to the Builders of the Future’ photo book; and Claude Lachaud, mathematician and president of the Pavillon de France’ association, will enlighten the public with his talk on ‘Matrimandir, symbol for the future’ during which he will go into the symbolism of the unique structure. The soiree will conclude with an undoubtedly animated buffet, a la Française!
